From The Executive Director
Hello and welcome to Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre Inc. My name is Dana Cyrenne, and I am the Executive Director and have been in the role since 2020. Before joining Kinder Korner, I spent many years as a director of a smaller organization in Northern Manitoba.
I joined the organization with over 30 years of experience with children in many capacities. I earned my Early Childhood Education (ECE II) Diploma from Assiniboine Community College in 1990 and my Early Childhood Education Post Diploma (ECE III) in 2017 from University College of the North. I have also run several small businesses over the years that were family-owned and attended Herzing Career College in the Business Administration program.
I am the mom of two amazing children and two beautiful grandchildren, who are my absolute pride and joy, and I couldn’t be any prouder of them and their accomplishments. I am forever grateful to be able to watch them all grow into the amazing human beings they are.
We can all relate to how hard it can be raising children and the many difficulties and celebrations that come with it. Each day we have with our children is another opportunity to help make the world a better place, and this is why I believe in a strength-based approach to both raising children and working with my peers. There are many opportunities to teach and learn from each other, and as the saying goes, “You are never too old to learn something new”.
I am proud to work with such an amazing, talented, and caring group, and look forward to working together to achieve all our goals for the organization in the future.

A Message
From The Board Chair
At Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre Inc., we are proud of our history of providing excellence in early learning to Steinbach area families for over 35 years. Having grown from our first centre in the basement of the hospital to our current three centres: Hanover, Clearspring Middle School and Steinbach Regional Secondary School, we now have nearly 200 children enrolled in our nursery, preschool and school-aged programming.
Our volunteer Board of Directors work hard to ensure that we will continue to meet the needs of families in the South East region of Manitoba, both now and in the future.
As we continue to grow and plan for future expansion, we are grateful to our Executive Director, Site Managers, and staff members, many who have been with us for fifteen or more years. They are the cornerstone of our success. Their commitment to providing quality care, pursuing continuing education, and upholding our core values have made us who we are today.

Lillio
Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre Inc. uses the Lillio application in all centers. This is a great tool we use to communicate with parents and guardians during your child’s day. We can use this app to communicate with emails and texts to parents and guardians when we have information to share. Another benefit to the Lillio application is account billing; parents can see their children’s fee accounts in real-time.
Each center uses the Lillio app to send notes and progress reports to parents each day and can also include photos of your child doing activities and participating in the program. The app also offers several free activities for families to do together at home to enhance their child’s development.

Parent Policy Manual
Our parent policy manual contains all the information that parents and guardians need to help their children succeed in our childcare centers. It outlines our policies and procedures that all centers follow each day.
Key components covered are fee rates, illness policies, healthy nutrition, daily schedules, emergency procedures and much more.
