Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre Inc » About Us

Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre Inc was incorporated in 1978 and is provincially funded and licensed by Early Learning and Childcare Manitoba. We have three locations to support Steinbach and the surrounding communities with their childcare needs.

All locations offer full-time childcare spaces and accept families with subsidy approvals. Centers offer care for children aged three months to twelve years.

Our Team

The teams at Kinder Korner Early Learning Centre Inc. are comprised of professional and qualified Early Childhood Educators who have received their ECE II and III diplomas and our Childcare Assistants (CCA) who have completed their 40-hour course requirements.

Each of our employees is chosen to be part of our team for their enthusiasm, empathy, experience, training, and love for children and are committed to supporting the growth and development of each child.

All employees must obtain clear criminal/vulnerable sector checks and clear child abuse registry checks to work in any licensed childcare center in Manitoba as well as have a current First Aid/CPR certificate.

Employees are offered training throughout the year to help build on their existing skillsets and grow their knowledge base about programming and development that supports your children in the best possible ways. Employees who are interested in furthering their education by pursuing their ECE II certification are supported through the Workplace Programs that are offered by Red River Community College and Assiniboine Community College.

Each center has a Site Manager who has their ECE III classification, and they manage the day-to-day operations of each location such as scheduling, licensing, programming, and parent/guardian communications.

All centers have both morning and evening supervisors who have their ECE II classification and are dedicated members of their teams that help support the Site Managers in the daily operations of each site.



Kinder Korner Hanover location (KKH)

Site Manager: Ayla Prydun

Located at 307 Hanover Street in Steinbach, care is offered at this location for children aged three months to six years. There are spaces for eight infant children and thirty-four preschool children. We are located close to Bethesda Regional Health Centre and Main Street businesses. Once children reach six years of age or are enrolled in Grade One, they graduate from the program.

Elmdale and Woodlawn schools are close to this location.



Kinder Korner Clearspring Middle School location (KKMS)

Site Manager: Izabel Almeida

Located at 1 Brighton Lane in Steinbach, KKMS is our only site that currently offers a school-age program. Care is available for children aged three months to twelve years of age at this center.

There are spaces for twelve infants, forty preschool children, and fifteen school-age children.

Parents are responsible for the transportation of their school-age children to and from school. School-age children are eligible to utilize the before/after school periods, in-service days and school closures over Christmas and summer vacation.

Woodlawn and Clearspring Middle School are close to this location.



Kinder Korner Steinbach Regional Secondary School location (KKSR)

Site Manager: Stacey Chigol

Located at 190 McKenzie Avenue in Steinbach, care is offered at KKSR for children aged three months to six years of age. There are spaces for twenty infants and fifty-four preschool children at this center. Once children reach six years of age or are enrolled in Grade One, they graduate from the program.

KKSR is also the location of our French Program being offered as a pilot project in the fall of 2023 for sixteen preschool children.

Stonybrook Middle School and Southwood School are close to this location.
